Haha! The title makes me laugh! But it’s true. I’ve been trying to prepare get my body the closest I can get to bikini worthiness.
We’re going to Boracay on the 3rd week of March and I want a decent looking body so that I don’t need to buy a one piece swimsuit because all I have are 2 piece sets.
My friend Grace says I have an excuse for having a less than worthy bikini bod because I already have a son. She’s been egging me to exercise for the longest time. So I gave myself a month before our Boracay trip to do something about my post pregnancy tummy. (Yeah right! Like it wasn’t like that pre-preganancy hehe.)
My ideal weight is 98 lbs.

I gave birth to Luke at the Delgado Hospital along Kamuning Rd. It’s a small maternity hospital with a 72 bed capacity (according to the guy who pushed my wheelchair when we checked out).

I’m back! And better yet I survived!
Luke’s been a very good boy even from inside my tummy. Jor’s been telling him to wait for Daddy before coming out and sure enough when Jor arrived early morning of July 22, we just took a short nap and when I woke up I was bleeding.

I’m running low on my supply of anti stretch mark oil and it would be such a waste if I get a stretch mark now that I’m on the final stretch (no pun intended) of my pregnancy.
I still have to order them from the states and drugstore.com is currently out of stock of both the tummy rub oil and the shea butter by Mama mio.
Well, technically he won’t be able to see clearly right away. Right now I’m just listing down stuff we’ll need – that’s probably mostly diapers, diapers, diapers since I can’t buy too much stuff coz I won’t be able to bring all of them back to Singapore.
By this time, my tummy’s really heavy, it’s impossible to switch sleeping positions. Imagine a plastic cup. Poke a hole at the bottom of it and then put one of those heavy paper weights inside. That’s kinda how I feel.
All the clothes that I brought home with me no longer fit too and I really don’t feel like buying new clothes since I’ll be giving birth in a month and I don’t plan to stay this size that long. So I’ve been wearing my mom’s shorts and my dad’s shirts for a few weeks now. That’s also why I haven’t been going out that much since I basically have nothing to wear and I think I walk like a pregnant person already. I’m a liability. Here’s an interesting article I came across with about natural birthing techniques.
More than 1,000 mothers-to-be took part in the Swedish trial, thought to be the first significant analysis of the efficacy of such methods in labour.
They attended one of two classes: the first taught natural coping methods, the other emphasised pain relief.
But the BJOG study found no difference in the use of epidurals between the women when they went into labour.
Just over half the women in each group ultimately opted for the spinal analgesia which reduces or eliminates the pain of contractions.
I guess it all just depends on the woman’s threshold for pain. Continue reading Relaxation and breathing techniques do not reduce the need for an epidural during childbirth
I still can’t believe I’m going to give birth 8 weeks from now. I still have to get used to the thought of me as a mom. Me? Mom? Exciting and scary. But I’m sure everything is going to be just fine (if I make it through the pain of labor, that is).
Here’s a picture of baby Luke. We’re thinking of changing the spelling to Luc to give it some French flair like my name… just a thought – nothing final yet. Continue reading 30 weeks and counting
I’m 26 weeks tomorrow! Let me share our most recent pregnancy portraits: Continue reading Pregnancy Portraits at 26 weeks
