It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update about Luke’s developments.  I don’t want to postpone it for long cause I’m sure I will forget and regret it.

At the start of his 11th month I was a little worried that he doesn’t have any amazing tricks yet.  I was also expecting him to be walking by then since he started pulling himself to standing very early

We celebrated his birthday at Mc Donald’s in Manila.  I made this invite of him looking like Mc Donald’s.  It was fun!

We chose to have a simple party so we can have everyone over because we only spent the weekend in Manila and it’s the best chance to see everyone.  And yet, there’s never enough time for all the people that you want to catch up with.

We’ll also (though I haven’t had the time to but will definitely do so soon) sponsor another child from World Vision in Luke’s name.  I think it’s never to early to teach him to give back.  I think making him aware of how it is for other people can give him a better appreciation of what he enjoys or strive harder to accomplish what he wants to get.

I’m saving the rad parties for the time when Luke can actually enjoy and remember them.

The 11th -12th month period was filled so much accelerated development.  All of a sudden he’s started making his first steps.  Now he can walk about 5 steps before needing support.  He likes crossing from one place to another.  It excites him when he gets to cross by himself.  He can walk longer distances with just holding on to the tip of my clothes.

He’s also started babbling much more in that 1 month period.  He says mama a lot.  :)

He can hi-five and do twinkle twinkle (open and close his hands) more willingly.  He claps when he sees the characters on TV clapping and whenever he is pleased with something.

I love it and find it awesome when I see his own personality showing through.  It’s amazing when you realize he’s starting to think more complexly and seeing how he thinks of ways to outsmart you.

I love it when he laughs at our antics.  He has a funny sense of humor.

He’s also definitely a boy.  He plays rough – sometimes a little too rough.  We’re trying to teach him the concept of gentle.

He has a lot of teeth out.  He has 4 at the upper front, 2 bottom front, 1 right bottom molar, 1 left upper molar, 1 upper right canine, and 1 budding left bottom molar.

I love his smile.  It’s a killer!
