2 days to week 7
Jor’s pretty lucky or maybe it’s because of his presence, Luke has started to sleep better at night. The first night Jor was back, Luke had a relatively good night even though Jor thought it was a rough night. I’m like – you haven’t seen a rough night. And good for Jor, he probably won’t be seeing any at all. The last 2 nights he was here, Luke was awake during the day, and was sound asleep at night. Yipee! I’d like to think I’ve reached the light at the end of the tunnel. Coz there were days it was so bad I thought I was going into post partum depression. Now that I look back at it, I realize that I’m only into week 7 and though 2 months doesn’t seem that long, week 2 – 5 was probably the longest month of my life. So for those first time mommy’s going through sleepless crazy colic nights, there is hope!
We’ve been to Trinoma twice this week. Luke was wide-eyed the whole time. And can I just say that I love our Bugaboo Bee. It’s not as light as the other umbrella strollers, but it makes up for aesthetics and handling. I can maneuver it with one hand.
It’s also useful at home coz I can bring him around the house or rock him to sleep in that stroller.
Though Luke’s started recognizing faces and smiling socially at week 4, it’s more apparent now. I remember waking up Sept. 5, which was Luke’s christening, and there he was looking back at me, smiling and cooing. It was the first time I noticed that he was definitely interactively cooing and smiling without a doubt. He finds it funny when I (or Jor) stick my tongue out. Occasionally, he’d mimic our faces and stick his tongue out too.
My project right now is trying to make him say mommy as soon as possible. Let’s see how well I do.
