I can’t believe we’re on our third week.  Week 2 was … waaah!   I didn’t get to record that much.  All I can say is he’s attached to me almost 24/7.  Even then, I still have to supplement his milk with formula.  I have one voracious little guy on my hands.  We started out giving him formula through a syringe to avoid nipple confusion but after days of sleepless nights, the heck with nipple confusion, we gave in to the bottle.  He downs that milk like I’ve been starving him.

He’s now some 8+ lbs and giving my arms some much needed workout.

Last week, his hands were no longer fisted all the time.  He even held his bottle with both hands, as if he could handle the weight.  One time, I didn’t notice that there was no more milk in the bottle’s nipple while he was feeding and he pushed the bottle up with his hand.  Maybe it was just random.  I’m not sure if he’s supposed to have this kind of coordination this early.  But his neck and legs are definitely stronger than expected.  He can really put up a fight when he’s being burped and doesn’t want to lean on your shoulders or lie flat on his tummy.  The best burping position I’ve found for him is sitting down, or hanging flat on his tummy in my arm like a sleeping monkey. So cute.

I know, he started out looking like Jor, but when his brows are furrowed he kinda looks like me.  (He also has lines on his forehead so I guess he was aptly named :P ) He’s also very vocal.  He keeps stretching all the time and makes loud sounds.  At first I kept thinking he was awake but he’s actually sleeping.  He smiles a lot after pooping probably from reflex but he also smiles whenever I kiss him and say “Yum, yum, yum! Delicioso!” ala Dora’s backpack.

Having Luke made Aerosmith’s song “I don’t want to miss a thing” make sense because I could really stay awake just to hear him breathing, watch him smile while he is sleeping … cheesy but it’s true.

I’ve only started to get the hang of things so hopefully, I can take more pictures in the next few days.
