Goodbye Italianni’s
I’ve always considered Italianni’s as comfort food. Something I default to when I can’t think of anywhere else to eat. But the last time we ate at their branch in Tomas Morato, we were really, really disappointed. And there’s nothing more annoying than disappointing food.
Seems to me they were doing some cost cutting at the expense of food quality.
First, our mussels lombardi didn’t taste fresh and it looked like the local teeny weeny mussels instead of the giant New Zealand mussels they used to serve.
Then we were served a wilted salad that looked like ginisang gulay. Then our pasta tasted like it was reheated too many times already. The pork chop was rubbery tough. They didn’t even serve a decent dish save for the bread basket. I would’ve walked out if they couldn’t even get the bread right. What is up with them?
