30 weeks and counting
I still can’t believe I’m going to give birth 8 weeks from now. I still have to get used to the thought of me as a mom. Me? Mom? Exciting and scary. But I’m sure everything is going to be just fine (if I make it through the pain of labor, that is).
Here’s a picture of baby Luke. We’re thinking of changing the spelling to Luc to give it some French flair like my name… just a thought – nothing final yet.
Yeah, unless you were there during the actual scan, the stills look pretty abstract. For those who need help figuring out the image, that’s a profile view. You can see his nose and lips. He was a little shy during the 4d scan. He was covering his face with his hand and hiding behind my placenta.
He’s pretty active, you never know where his head is at plus he’s pretty heavy.
Oh, and did I mention I have gestational diabetes? Grrr…. so I basically have to stay away from sweets which make me crave for it even more.
I had my scan at St. Luke’s hospital and boy, am I glad I’m not giving birth there. I hardly even considered it. I know many people think it’s odd I’m not giving birth there but St. Luke’s is like a palengke even on weekdays. There’s just so many people there and I never liked crowded places. I hardly even go to the mall.
Unless my pregnancy needed special equipment, there’s really no point of paying a premium. The rooms aren’t special. Did I say there’s just too many people there? It’s like a mall. And you have to queue for everything.
The renovated suites at the hospital I’m giving birth at looks like a hotel room. The room we checked out looks even better than the room at Asian Hospital where my sister-in-law gave birth. Though they don’t accept reservations, so I really hope there’s one available when it’s my big day. The crowd is manageable. There’s parking. It’s like a secret you don’t want people to know so they don’t flock to that hospital.
