My first Google check
It’s not from this blog though. I don’t really optimize this blog for search engines because this site is more like a personal journal - just to keep friends and family updated of how I’m doing and what I’ve been or haven’t been busy with.  Though I don’t mind visitors, I’m also not actively looking for clicks on this blog.
The money came from a blog called www.eofw.net I co-author with Jorey’s best man Edwin. The blog caters to the OFW readers and basically gives information on finance and communication - like how to remit to the Philippines or what’s the cheapest way to call the Philippines. Though the articles I write for this blog is more about one of my passion which is financial literacy - like to use your credit card wisely, or what you should know before investing. I believe it’s what our country needs and it could be the solution to poverty and eventually the key to our country’s progress - learning how to make money work for you instead of you working for money. I’m not an expert at all but it’s a way for me to learn more by doing the research for the articles and also get to share with others what I learn.Â
Years back, I already know of people who make money from their blogs. But I didn’t really try it before because … well .. because I was just too lazy to try. I’m still lazy now, but the difference is now, I’m a lazy bum. So I tried it, and here it is - my first check from Google.  Actually, I didn’t find it easy to earn that $160 but that’s because I’m not that good of a writer and I’m socially isolated (more often by choice). But if you have decent writing skills and average social skills, it should be pretty easy.

It’s not much, it’s measly actually hehehe but it’s a step forward… baby step. Something long overdue considering I’ve been blogging since 2004.Â
Some people are just late bloomers.
