Foodwise, a success!
Since I got back, I got to eat my favorite food:
- my mom’s Kare-Kare
- a lot of Sungee ripe mangoes
- Circles buffet
- Corned beef and Pinoy chocolate (I call it tsokolate eh) at Antonio’s breakfast - Thanks to Grass!
- Inihaw and pakbet
- Ceasar salad with an ultimate mudslide at TGIF
- Cafe Breton and more breton - it’s become comfort food for Jorey and me
This is how much I like Breton - we eat there so often the servers know us and what we order. If my Dad wants to please me, he’ll invite me to Breton even if he doesn’t eat anything there. He’s not the cafe-type. He’s the David’s-Tea-House type. Last night, I brought my camera coz I wanted to take pictures. I even brought it out and fixed the setting so I can just click away when my Vesuve came. I was half way through my Vesuve when I remembered I was going to take pictures so I thought to myself, oh well, I’ll just take pictures of dessert then. But when dessert came I still completely forgot to take pictures. Seeing crepes makes me forget everything. Breton also brings back fond memories of early college years back when Malate was “in”. We’d be all dressed up and girly, line-up for Breton and then attack those crepes like crazy - to hell with poise. Those crepes didn’t last a minute on us. I’d buy shares if they were listed in the stock market.
