Proud to be Filipino
Yeah so you’ve probably watched the dancing Filipino prisoners on Youtube by now. I personally found it funny and entertaining - the dancing and the choice of songs. It’s soo 80’s - Thriller and Radio Gaga? I think a LOT of Filipinos could really relate to the 80’s.
I saw that video on an Indian News channel here in Singapore while buying Hello Panda from the store behind our building. It even made it’s way to Perezhilton.com.
But I find something off with how Filipinos react to the video. I’ve read so many comments saying “This video makes me proud to be Filipino.” Err? Our country’s situation is probably so sad Pinoys find pride in prisoners dancing to Thriller. It’s funny. I mean, those prisoners should be proud of themselves for making better use of their time in prison, but for me to be proud to be Filipino because of that video?
I suppose it could make sense… if you can’t be proud of your goverment officials then be proud of your prisoners. They make better use of taxpayer’s money.

hanapin mo naman sa youtube yung makati police videos. mga modus operandi ng mga scammers, holduppers, etc. i think it’s a good medium for informing the public about the dangers we might encounter on the street.
